A large party at an apartment complex was shut down by salinas police officers early Sunday morning after multiple fights broke out. Private security guards at the party were checking for weapons, but that didn’t prevent fist fights from starting. At 1:30 a.m., officers responded to the complex on the 13-hundred block of burton avenue after getting a report about the fighting. A 20-year-old man was located with a fractured ankle, however he refused to cooperate with police officers and no arrests were made. the party was shut down without further incident.
