Money from F.E.M.A. Grants is expected help local service agencies in Santa Cruz, Monterey and San Benito counties offer food, housing, and assistance with paying utilities…to those in need. The grants come from the agency’s Emergency Food And Shelter Program. To be eligible for some of that grant money, service agencies must be private non-profits, or local government agencies….and have to be able to demonstrate an ability to deliver food and shelter assistance on an emergency basis.
