Monterey County agencies battling the River Fire will now be eligible for aid. The Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) has authorized the use of federal funds to fight the River Fire. The funds provide state and tribal agencies responding to the fire with up to 75% reimbursement of their fire suppression costs.
