A 20-year old reckless driver had to be tasered after he tried taking an officer’s gun in Watsonville Tuesday night. Pearce Russell Hutchins-Fuhr of Felton was stopped just before 9 o’clock after his jeep Cherokee was blocking an Eastbound lane of Airport Boulevard near Hangar Way. The man got out of the car and attempted to run failing to comply with the officer who temporarily tased him. He then tried to remove the officer’s gun while he was being handcuffed. The man was eventually restrained before he was hospitalized and was later arrested for drunken driving, battery on a peace officer and resisting arrest.
