A fire broke out at a feed supply store in salinas early this morning, causing the deaths of about 25-animals. No people were injured in the 4 a.m. fire at central coast feed supply, which is located at 305 salinas road. a few animals were rescued by responding firefighters, however a total of about 25 chickens, rabbits, pheasants and quail died from smoke inhalation. the flames were extinguished by firefighters from tnothe mco, w.v. and araomas fd. The cause of the fire is under investaigiton, but it is believed to have been an electrical fire.
