The city of Salinas is slated to be getting 5.8 million dollars of federal grant money. The funds are expected to be used to help the homeless, and also people at risk of becoming homeless due to job loss, pay reduction or illness due to Covid-19. The grants are coming from the C.A.R.E.S Act….and H.U.D.’s Emergency Solution Grants Program.
