(08:42) MONTEREY COUNTY – A Monterey County organization has launched efforts to ban hydraulic fracturing in the region. The group Protect Monterey County is aiming to protect the area’s water supply by putting an anti-fracking measure on the November ballot. There are currently no oil companies fracking in Monterey County. Both Santa Cruz and San Benito counties have fracking bans in place. (S.G.)
