(17:28) SANTA CRUZ- The Santa Cruz teen charged with the murder of 8 year old Maddy Middleton was in court yesterday (Thursday). 16 year old Adrian Jerry Gonzales appeared in Superior Court. Gonzales, is accused of the July 2015, kidnapping, rape and murder of the girl at the Santa Cruz Tannery artist complex. Gonzales was expected to receive a hearing date, but declined the process, requesting instead to go straight to trial. The trial is scheduled to start on June 14th.
