February 24, 2016: Watsonville Police Investigating Two Armed Robberies

(06:35) WATSONVILLE – Watsonville police are investigating two separate armed robberies. The first incident occurred late Tuesday night at a Bank of America ATM near the intersection of Main Street and Green Valley Road. Around 11 p.m., three individuals approached a victim using the ATM and took their wallet at knife point. All three robbers then fled the scene in a green Honda Accord. Two of the robbers have been described as Hispanic males. One was wearing a red baseball hat while the other was wearing a dark grey hooded sweatshirt. The second robbery occurred early Wednesday morning at the Shell Gas Station on Freedom Boulevard. Officials say two robbers entered the business around 1 a.m., held employees at gunpoint, and took an undisclosed amount of cash. They then fled the scene on foot.
