(07:26) MONTEREY COUNTY – A Gilroy man has pleaded guilty to assault in Monterey County. In March 2015, 35-year-old Ismael Rosas sent threatening text messages to his estranged wife and their 12-year-old daughter. He later chased both victims in a high speed vehicle pursuit through the streets of Salinas. During the chase, Rosas shot at his wife’s car with a semi-automatic handgun, while their daughter sat in the wife’s passenger seat. No one was injured. Rosas was later arrested in Gilroy and booked into Monterey County Jail. He will be sentenced next month. (S.G.)
