A 21-year-old Salinas man died on Friday night in Monterey county, following a major car accident. The wreck occurred on westbound san Miguel canyon road. At 11:30 p.m., the driver allegedly tried to cross the double-yellow line to pass another car, but she lost control and crashed into a tree. The 19-year-old aptos woman was arrested on suspicion of D-U-I and other charges. She was airlifted out of the county to be treated for serious injuries. 5-other passengers were treated at local hospitals.
