Congressman sam farr has introduced an amendment to a bill, that would reverse 48-million dollars in cuts to ocean research and conservation. The bill was voted out of committee, and will now be considered by the full house of representatives. If approved, the funding would enable the continuation of several programs run by the national oceanic atmospheric administration, including the national marine sanctuary program.
