Starting tomorrow, Monterey Salinas Transit (MST) and Valley Transportation Authority of Santa Clara (VTA) will resume the collection of bus fares, joining Santa Cruz Metro, and San Luis Obispo RTA who have already resumed fare collection.
V-T-A riders have contact-free options for paying their bus fare, including a smartphone app or a Clipper Card.
As for M-S-T riders, customer service windows will be open for those looking to buy a prepaid transit pass.
The fare collections, as well as front door boarding, begin August 1 for both transit agencies.
Meanwhile, face masks are still needed across all public transit rides and within their facilities.
