Triple digit temperatures prompted the National Weather Service to issue warnings and advisories. The Gilroy and Morgan Hill areas of Santa Clara County were under a heat warning. The NWS also issued heat advisories for Santa Cruz, San Benito, and Monterey Counties. Temperatures are expected to drop the rest of the week.
