An inmate who escaped Santa Clara County Jail last month has been arrested. 40-year-old Johnell Carter was taken into custody last year for five counts of child molestation. Officials say Carter was at a medical appointment March 6th when he fought a deputy and ran from the hospital. This week, Carter was found in Mississippi and arrested by U.S. Marshals. A $6,000 reward was being offered in Santa Clara County for information leading to Carter’s arrest.
