ALTHOUGH THE STATE IS STILL INVESTIGATING A CENTRAL CALIFORNIA LANDFILL (THAT IS BEING BLAMED FOR BIRTH DEFECTS) THE COMPANY THAT RUNS IT CAN CONTINUE ACCEPTING HAZARDOUS WASTE THERE. THE ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION AGENCY SAYS THAT WASTE MANAGEMENT INCORPORATED CAN CONTINUE TO ACCEPT THE WASTE, BECAUSE NO EVIDENCE HAS LINKED THE LANDFILL WITH DEFORMITIES, (AND BECAUSE WORKERS CLEANED UP THE CANCER-CAUSING P.C.B.’S THAT WERE FOUND AT THE SITE NEAR KETTLEMAN CITY).
