People are being asked to keep their eyes out for an entangled baby gray whale. Reportedly the baby and his mother were first spotted in the Malibu area, but the 2 were swimming north and could easily be in the Monterey Bay area, or even further north by now. Although rescuers tried to untangle the baby, the mother whale kept blocking them. Entanglement for any sea creature, especially babies like this 1 month-old whale, can starve, suffer cuts and infections, and even drown. Anyone who spots the entangled baby whale is encouraged to call the National Oceanic And Atmospheric Administration at 1-877-767-9425.
