This Thursday marks the deadline to apply to be a member of the California Conservation Corps. The program will train participants to install a variety of energy-saving products, by working with Watsonville’s Central Coast Energy Services to install such products on low-income households around the central coast. The 1-year-training program comes with a stipend of more than 13-thousand dollars a year, as well as child care and health care benefits. The Conservation Corps is looking for 20-volunteers, between the ages of 18 and 25. The deadline to apply is 2 p.m. Thursday. For more information email: bonnie@energyservices.org.
