The Mayor of Gilroy declared an emergency after yesterday’s 5:41 p.m. shooting at the Gilroy Garlic Festival. The “declaration” allows the city to request personnel and equipment to help process the crime scene, and it also allows the city to potentially get re-imbursed (by the State) for expenses related to the shooting, and the investigation.
