VOLUNTEERS COLLECTED NATIVE SEEDS AT THE ELKHORN SLOUGH ON SATURDAY. THE EVENT WAS ORGANIZED BY THE AMERICAN RIVERS CONSERVATION GROUP IN PARTNERSHIP WITH KEURIG GREEN MOUNTAIN INC. ABOUT 70 PEOPLE SPENT THE DAY SEARCHING FOR CALIFORNIA BLUE WILD RYE GRASS SEEDS. THE GROUP ENDED THE DAY WITH ABOUT 30 POUNDS OF THE SEEDS WHICH WILL BE USED TO REESTABLISH THE NATIVE GRASS THROUGHOUT THE ELKHORN SLOUGH PRESERVE.
