The Elkhorn Slough Foundation, along with Moss Landing State Beach, held a clean up and planting event on Saturday. About fifty volunteers scoured the habitat weeding out invasive plants and replanting the area with five different types of native plant species. The group also cleared refuse as they went about the task. The organization has plans for another work-day next month, but has not yet scheduled a date.
