IT’S ELECTION DAY 2013, AND ALTHOUGH THERE ARE NO NATIONAL (OR STATE) RACES, THERE ARE A NUMBER OF RACES AND MEASURES ON BALLOTS IN THE TRI-COUNTY AREA. POLES WILL OPEN AT 7 A-M AND REMAIN OPEN UNTIL 8 P-M. THOSE WHO HAVE MAIL-IN BALLOTS NEED TO RETURN THEM EITHER TO THEIR ELECTION DEPARTMENT OR A CITY CLERKS OFFICE IN THEIR COUNTY BY CLOSE OF BUSINESS TODAY.
IN SANTA CRUZ COUNTY THERE ARE 2 MEASURES, THEY ARE:
- MEASURE H – IN THE LOMA PRIETA JOINT UNION SCHOOL DISTRICT.
- AND MEASURE U – THE CITY OF SCOTTS VALLEY TEMPORARY SALES TAX.
IN MONTEREY COUNTY THERE ARE 22 RACES, AND 6 MEASURES, AND IN SAN BENITO COUNTY (IN THE BITTERWATER AREA) THERE IS AN ALL-MAIL-IN BALLOT FOR HARTNELL COLLEGE TRUSTEE AREA 7.
THOSE WHO HAVE MAIL-IN BALLOTS NEED TO RETURN THEM TO THEIR ELECTION DEPARTMENT (OR A CITY CLERKS OFFICE IN THEIR COUNTY) BY CLOSE OF BUSINESS TODAY.
