PAJARO – A man known as “El Diablo”, has been arrested in connection with the assault of a number of people. Evarado Ortiz Vargas is believed to have assaulted several homeless people near the Pajaro River….including a woman whom he hit on the head with a machete (before demanding money from her). Vargas was booked into Monterey County Jail.
