a project to improve a shopping center in watsonville is underway. new pavement and a fresh paint job have already been completed at the east lake village shopping center. the project includes a new tiled roof, landscaping, and the addition of palm and olive trees in the parking lot. the east lake village shopping center was originally modeled after a center in salinas in the 1960’s.
