Santa Cruz County Supervisors voted 3-2 today to streamline licensing of cannabis cultivators. They did so with the goal of licensing at least 75 growers within the next year. Farmers cultivating cannabis in existing greenhouses (on commercial agricultural land) won’t have to notify neighbors, or undergo a public hearing, however, but most other growers will still need to notify their neighbors if their property is adjacent to any homes.
