A Santa Cruz Local was voted as 1 of the top 10 finalists last night on American Idol. James Durbin, who among the 24 contestants competing for a seat on the top 10, was chosen to move forward by the nation’s voters this week. Durbin performed a Judas Priest song on Tuesday and was reportedly “widely considered” to make the finals based on viewer interest. American Idol airs on the Fox Network at 8 p.m. Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursdays.
