After a successful pilot program in four California counties, ignition interlock devices are soon becoming the law as a way to prevent drunk driving. The interlock works much like a breathalyzer to stop drunk drivers from starting their vehicles. The device will in the new year become a requirement for multiple offense drunk drivers.
