Witnesses of a car accident in santa Cruz on Sunday helped detain an alleged drunk driver. 18-year-old Christian Alcaraz was taken into custody after santa cruz police officers arrived. He had allegedly tried to run from the scene of the accident, before bystanders detained him. Alcaraz is accused of being under the influence, and driving without a license when he smashed his car into a residence at Bockius and Lincoln Streets. No injuries were reported in the incident.
