A recently released report, on drugs on campus, places UC Santa Cruz at the top of the list in the nation for disciplinary action for drug offenses. The study by Project Know says that in 2013, 76 of every 1,000 students faced disciplinary action at UCSC; however the report states that in most cases, instead of arresting the students, offenders were referred to the Student Conduct Office. The university policy is to keep the students in school and offer them help for possible drug or alcohol problems.
