Another dry week in Northern California doesn’t exactly spell drought but experts say it does mean California is “abnormally dry”
Yesterday the federal government announced a large part of the golden state’s landscape is “abnormally dry’ and we are at risk of at least a modest drought this year, plus the increased risk of fire danger.
According to the u-s drought monitor, issued by the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration… all nine bay area counties are classified as abnormally dry. Almost 60-percent of California is abnormally dry and that’s up from 46-percent from just last week. The good news is… rain is in the forecast for this weekend.
