Thanks to help of the drone team, Watsonville police were able to put a convicted felon and reported gang member behind bars.
Pedro Magana (ma-gan-ah) led police on a chase last week with a backpack full of contraband down a rugged, wooded hillside. Magana was able to ditch the backpack… but the santa cruz sheriff’s office called out the drone team that located the backpack and inside, investigators found:
More than 270 grams of methamphetamine and 16 grams of cocaine with a total street value of $11,500-dollars. Magana is being held in the Santa Cruz county jail with bail set at 75-thousand dollars.
