A draft plan has been released by a coalition of water providers in Mid-Santa Cruz county. In an effort to stabilize drinking water in the area by 2040, the plan establishes criteria by which local water sustainability work is measured, how progress will be monitored and how it is reported to the state. The Santa Cruz Mid-County Groundwater Agency plans to hold an informational meeting from 7-9 p.m. this Thursday, at the Simpkins Family Swim Center.
