A local archeologist, historian, lecturer and author has died. Salinas native Doctor Gary Breschini would have been 72 years-old this June 27th. Doctor Breschini, who was a longtime president of the Monterey Historical Society, was known as an expert on the lifestyle of the Native American people of this area. Breschini is survived by his wife, partner, and collaborator, Trudy Haversat, and friends and family are invited to a celebration of life that will start at 4 p.m. June 21st , at the Church Of The Good Shepherd at 301 Corral De Tierra Road in Salinas. The ceremony will be followed by a potluck gathering in the picnic grove there.
