THAT’S BECAUSE A MONTEREY COUNTY SUPERIOR COURT JUDGE HAS RULED THAT AUTHORITIES IN CENTRAL CALIFORNIA SHOULD HAVE WEIGHED THE LONG-TERM ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT BEFORE THEY AUTHORIZED AN OIL COMPANY TO DRILL 15 OIL WELLS NEXT TO PINNACLES NATIONAL PARK. ENVIRONMENTALISTS ARGUED THAT THE OIL WELLS COULD HURT THE 2 DOZEN ENDANGERED CONDORS THAT LIVE IN AND NEAR THE PARK.
