A Monterey County judge ruled Wednesday that the owner of a bulldozer that killed the operator while battling a huge wildfire near Big Sur in 2016 had violated labor laws.
Ian Czirban failed to have workers’ compensation insurance required for companies working under contract to CAL FIRE. The dozer toppled down an embankment, killing the operator, Robert Reagan.
