In honor of domestic violence awareness month, an event is planned for Monday in santa cruz. From 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., a coalition of groups will be displaying original T-shirts, designed by survivors of domestic abuse. “The Clothesline Project” is being hosted by the Walnut Avenue Women’s Center, Women’s Crisis Support/Denfensa de Mujeres, and the Commission for the Prevention of Violence Against Women. The artwork will be displayed on Pacific Avenue and Cooper Street, and for a 20-dollar donation, you can design your own shirt. 5 people have been killed in Santa Cruz County this year, due to domestic violence.
