A Capitola man was arrested last night after threatening his ex-boyfriend with a kitchen knife. 22-year-old Ian Joseph Slavonia reportedly threatened the life of his ex-boyfriend while brandishing a knife at him, shortly after 9pm on the 1900 block of 46th Avenue. The victim was forced into his car and instructed to drive to a store on Bay Avenue, where Slavonia demanded he purchase him alcohol. When the victim escaped, he contacted police, who located Slavonia. Slavonia was booked into Santa Cruz County jail on charges of brandishing a weapon, kidnapping, and criminal threats.
