A diver was found dead in Point Lobos Saturday afternoon. A call was put in to rescue crews about a diver in distress in Whalers Cove. However, the victim was missing by the time crews arrived. The victim was located after a 2 hour search, but was declared dead. The identity of the diver has not been released, nor the reasons for the distress call.
