DETOUR OFF HIGHWAY 101 NEAR RALPH LANE – 09/28/11 18:24 S.S.
STARTING SOME TIME TOMORROW, DRIVERS ON SOUTHBOUND HIGHWAY 101, JUST SOUTH OF PRUNEDALE, WILL BE SHUNTED ONTO A DETOUR ROAD THAT PARALLELS HIGHWAY 101. THAT DETOUR ROAD BEGINS ABOUT A QUARTER MILE SOUTH OF RALPH LANE, AND THEN AT BORONDA ROAD, SOUTHBOUND DRIVERS WILL SHIFT BACK ONTO THE REGULAR SOUTHBOUND LANES OF HIGHWAY 101.
This detour is designed to move traffic away from where the new Sala Road Overcrossing is slated to be built. For now, Northbound traffic will stay on the regular Northbound lanes of Highway 101 in that area.
This is the first phase of detours for this portion of the Prunedale Improvement Project. The next phase is expected to begin October 12th.
This detour is expected to remain in place for approximately 1 year.
