Police arrested two people following a probation search at a home the 1200 block of 8th Street in Monterey on Wednesday. During the compliance search officers located ammunition, methamphetamine, assault rifles, pistols and training hand grenades. The Monterey County Sheriff’s Office Bomb Squad was called in and determined the grenades were a practice device, however several other explosive items were rendered safe by detonation. 50 year old Paula Roman and 60 year old John Panetta were arrested on multiple charges.
