Crews working to demolish the Pfeiffer Canyon Bridge made great headway today. Once the bridge is completely demolished, the next step is to break down the chunks and load them onto trucks that will take them to a recycling center. Cal-trans spokesperson Jim Shivers said some parts of the new bridge have already been designed and fabricated; while others are “on order”.
