more than 40 years after opening, delaveaga golf course could completely belong to the city of santa cruz if a transfer agreement is arranged between the city and the state. in 1967, the city and state entered into a 50 year lease of 83 acres that enabled santa cruz to build the first 6 holes of the course. city officials hope that within a year, an agreement is reached so that the land will revert back to the city when the lease expires in 6 years.
