Regular KSCO listener Jim from the Flying-J Ranch in San Benito County called to warn drivers about deer. Jim is retired from CAL-FIRE and knows how a car and deer collision can kill people in the vehicle and maybe the dear.
Why this warning? Because deer are in rut – that means it’s mating season – and that’s when deer are prone to acting stupid and sometimes jumping in front of cars they don’t see because of distractions. So, keep an eye out for deer, since they may not have an eye out for you.
