(21:25) SIERRA NEVADA – The Sierra Nevada Snowpack was at 136 percent of normal this morning at Echo Summit. That bodes well for helping to refill (drought-stricken) California’s reservoirs in the spring, when the snow melts. Scientists say it’s a step in the right direction, because the snowpack provides about 30 percent of California’s water supply.
A light-to-moderate storm system is expected to hit northern California early next week.
