(07:24) APTOS – One man suffered serious injuries after a fire broke out at a home in Aptos Friday afternoon. The blaze was reported at a residence on the 300 block of Bonita Drive shortly after 2 p.m. Crews extinguished the fire in just under two hours. One man escaped the home and was transported to a Bay Area trauma center with severe burns. Four dogs were inside the residence at the time of the fire. One was found dead in the fire’s aftermath. No other injuries were reported. The cause of the fire is under investigation. (S.G.)
