(09:25) WATSONVILLE – The City of Watsonville will be closing its facilities for the holidays. City employees have forgone ten percent of pay over the last seven years in exchange for shorter hours and additional closure days during the holidays. Through this pay concession, the city has avoided major layoffs and has been able to address the general fund deficit. Essential public services such as Police, Fire, Water, and Garbage collection will not be affected by the closure. City facilities will be closed December 21 through January 3. (C.G.)
