A dead shark washed up on asilomar beach in pacific grove beach this morning. the carcass of the 10-foot pacific sleeper shark was reportedly heavily damaged and had its dorsal fin missing. Pacific sleeper sharks are not studied much by experts, but are known to live in deep water and are considered rare. The shark is believed to have been killed by a natural predator, not a marine vessel.
