Dr. Joel Wallach

A biomedical research pioneer, Dr. Joel D. Wallach spent more than 40 years in the field of Veterinary Medicine, observing and researching the effects of individual nutrients on animal health, before becoming a Naturopathic Physician in 1982. Today, Dr. Wallach is renowned for his groundbreaking research on the health benefits of selenium and other minerals. He currently dedicates his time to lecturing throughout the world on the therapeutic benefits of vitamins and minerals, and on lobbying the U.S. Food and Drug Administration on behalf of the dietary supplement industry.

Dr. Wallach has been appearing recently with George Noory on Coast to Coast AM.

Dr. Joel Wallach begins the show today discussing brain diseases. Outlining a few disease states such as Parkinson's, ALS (amyotrophic lateral sclerosis) and Huntington's disease. Stating they are all due to nutritional deficiencies and can be prevented and reversed. Contending these disease states are reversed through lifestyle changes and nutritional supplementation.

Doug Winfrey and Dr. Wallach discuss a news article regarding a sad story of an infant death. A mother took her five week old baby to the hospital because it was having trouble breathing. The doctors dismissed the symptoms as bronchiolitis. Common among infants and young children during the winter months. Sending the mother home without any more help. The baby didn't improve so she him to the pediatrician who advised her to take the baby back to the hospital. The hospital sent her home again with saline drops and a leaflet on bronchiolitis. The baby got worse and was eventually sent the hospital by ambulance. The baby was finally diagnosed with sepsis. His heart stopped and he died within an hour.

Stating these can all be prevented and reversed through nutritional supplementation and lifestyle changes. Stating many of these health challenges are due a deficiency in a single nutreint.

Doug Winfrey and Dr. Wallach discuss a news article regarding a study on cancer. Researchers put mice in a small structure that allowed very little movement for a week. Then the mice were split into two groups one group stayed in the small boxes. The other group the control group were put into larger comfortable cages. After a month the mice in the small boxes exhibited signs of depression and anxiety. These mice also had larger tumors that were growing at a faster rate than the control group.

The participants had no prior history of heart attack, stroke or cancer. Finding those who drank green tea three times or more a week had a 20% lower risk heart attack or stroke and a 22% lower risk of dying from heart disease or stroke.

Asserting that people should plant gardens so they can have food is some sort of disaster hits whether it natrual or otherwise. Contending if or when this happens their won't be food in the stores. Because the stores will have already been overrun by the hordes. Asserting that people should also have a stockpile of Youngevity products. Enough to last for at least three to four months.

However the study found that after a merger the quality of care goes down for at least four years. Using performance measures such as readmission rates. Hospital executive tout the mergers as a way to cut costs and standardize clinical practices.
