Dr. Joel Wallach

A biomedical research pioneer, Dr. Joel D. Wallach spent more than 40 years in the field of Veterinary Medicine, observing and researching the effects of individual nutrients on animal health, before becoming a Naturopathic Physician in 1982. Today, Dr. Wallach is renowned for his groundbreaking research on the health benefits of selenium and other minerals. He currently dedicates his time to lecturing throughout the world on the therapeutic benefits of vitamins and minerals, and on lobbying the U.S. Food and Drug Administration on behalf of the dietary supplement industry.

Dr. Wallach has been appearing recently with George Noory on Coast to Coast AM.

Dr. Joel Wallach begins the show discussing epigenetics. Specifically discussing the metabolic syndrome. Contending that the metabolic syndrome is a combination of various things such as weight gain, high blood sugar levels, osteoporosis and rheumatoid arthrits. Stating these are red warning lights that should be noticed. As those with pre-existing like these will be in real trouble if the contract COVID 19.

Doug Winfrey and Dr. Wallach discuss a news article regarding statements made by Dr. Anthony Fauci. On an internet interview he advocated the supplementation of vitamins C and D. Stating that these vitamins will help protect against infections and boost the immune system. Going on to saying that taking any other supplements, minerals, vitamins and herbs is worthless against the COVID 19.

Stating that these are all due to nutritional deficiencies. Asserting these pre-existing conditions can be prevented and reversed through supplementation and getting off the bad foods.

Doug Winfrey and Dr. Wallach discuss a news story regarding a review of 24 previous studies. The studies were looking into the effacacy of nutritional instruction given to medical students. The review found that medical students get shorted on this education. Leaving the students with a lack of confidence in giving their patients dietary advice. The review indicated this is something new. When in reality this lack of nutritional education in medical schools has been going on for decades.

Citing a report out from John's Hopkins that each year some 251,440 Americans are killed by medical mistakes no one says a word. Making medical mistakes the third leading cause of death in America.

Doug Winfrey and Dr. Wallach discuss a news article about a report out from the Environmental Working Group. The report states that some 22 cancer causing contaminants in community water systems. Which could result in some 100,000 cases of cancer over a lifetime. The list of 22 contaminants with carcinogenic risks detected in 48,363 water systems that serve 86 percent of the U.S. population or about 279 million people.

Dr. Joel Wallach begins the show discussing his career outlining his ability to uncover what killed 50 sheep in one night. Through an autopsy he discovered the sheep had high levels of nitrates in their systems. Causing the thyroid to enlarge finding that on night the sheep died the temperature dropped 19 degrees and the sheep died from hypothermia. Which he then publised in a paper that got the attention of Marlen Perkins. Who then sent Doc to Africa on the white rhino project.

Doug Winfrey and Dr. Wallach discuss a study of sugars. A dietitian Jaclyn London outlines which sugars are good and which should be avoided. Stating that sugar should not be cut completely out of the diet. Explaining that the good sugars are found in foods like beets, grapes, carrots and grains. Natural sugars like fructose from fruit, lactose from milk and sucrose a combination of glucose and fructose.
