Dr. Joel Wallach

A biomedical research pioneer, Dr. Joel D. Wallach spent more than 40 years in the field of Veterinary Medicine, observing and researching the effects of individual nutrients on animal health, before becoming a Naturopathic Physician in 1982. Today, Dr. Wallach is renowned for his groundbreaking research on the health benefits of selenium and other minerals. He currently dedicates his time to lecturing throughout the world on the therapeutic benefits of vitamins and minerals, and on lobbying the U.S. Food and Drug Administration on behalf of the dietary supplement industry.

Dr. Wallach has been appearing recently with George Noory on Coast to Coast AM.

Dr. Joel Wallach begins the show today discussing the story of Louie Pasteur. On how he discovered the first vaccine. By looking at the bacteria in wine mash and how the bacteria was killed. Stating his theory on why vaccines are bad for the immune system. Stating that people should think twice about getting vaccines for their children.

Doug Winfrey and Dr. Wallach discuss a news article about a study from the University of Sydney. Researchers looked the mechanism of how compounds in elderberries affected the influenza virus. Developing a juice serum that was applied to cells before, during and they were infected with the virus. The phytochemicals in elderberries inhibit both viral attachment and entry into host cells.

The study found that preschool children ages 2 to 5 who spend two or more hours daily in front of a screen were 7.7 times more likely be diagnosed with ADHD. Especially compared to children in this same age group who were getting 30 minutes or less screen time daily.

Doc disagrees stating that fertilzers only contain three NPK. Asserting that the nutrients aren't in the food. So it is necessary to supplement with all 90 essential nutrients.

Which controls calcium, phosphorus and other minerals. People with low levels of vitamin D supplementing with magnesium saw their vitamin D levels normalize. In the U.S. two out of every five Americans have low levels of vitamin D.

Contending that all can be prevented and often reversed by supplementation. Asserting that doctors who say these are genetic are just plain wrong.

Studies have shown that a vitamin D deficieny is associated with high blood pressure and heart disease. Another study found a link between asthma and lack of vitamin D. Vitamin D helps prevent cavities, reduces cancer risk, kills bacteria and viruses associated with the flu. Sixty two percent of rheumatoid arthrits patients had a vitamin D deficiency. Also irritable bowel disorders are linked to vitamin D deficiencies.
